Ok so i admit, i need to go back to school, or the very least a night class.  My ability to conjure up word spells into a sympathetic portrayal of my emotions, just isnt working!

I used to be really good and won some competitions, whats the reason for abismal attempt to wordsmith!

Am I too sad, was I too happy?  Even blogging seems a chore and it was once my playtime.  Maybe I need a Winter – some hibernation times, and awake armed with a box of pens and reams of paper!

Discovering Vintage!

Catalunya National Museum of Art (MNAC), in Ba...

Ok, so planning my things to do in Italy, when we go.  As there are a few of us working together this means we have the chance to spend our time Shopping.!  Not for me the modern day shopping,  Im talking about hunting down vintage gems! (as in clothes, hats boots and quirky bits!)  I know this is a long shot, do they do Vintage in parts of Italy they way they do here?

We are also going to Spain as and added few weeks, (My employer is taking her Niece there for her 21st birthday and first “European Shopping Tour”  !)

So we are hitting the biggies apparently  We are arriving in Barcelona, then onto Valencia Cordoba Madrid Seville, Ending in Gibraltar.  (I think thats the correct route, not good on my maps !)

I know nothing or no-one in Spain,  I have been to Gibralter as a child, But we mostly lived in Portugal.  These are all going to be ‘pit-stops’  of a few days, and while my employer will be spending time with family, we get to visit the sites, (have been given orders to expand our minds!)

So looking forward to this.  Await the picture of our Tour!

Just a quick note to my followers,  my followees (is that a word?) and my friends who blog.  I do try to catch up on your blogs, I do like when I can, and would like to have more time to repsond and support your blogs.

I apologise, because  I just havent had the spare time of late.  Im doing two jobs, plus living away from home, and barely have time to jot my own blogs down.

Please dont think Im ignoring anyone,  Im not,  but the minute I sit down with a cuppa and log on – i get called to do something else.

This isnt a permanent situation,  just something temp, until I can get my life sorted.  Some of you have had personal problems that I wanted to let you know I support you, and for this lack of support I really am sorry.

Fingers crossed I will be more focussed after my return from Italy.

thanks guys!

Next week, im taking my Charge, to a Dorothy Wordsworth event,  not sure what to expect. should be good though.    (Dorothy lived with her brother, the poet William Wordsworth and his family, in the Lake District, for most of her adult life. Her energy and intelligence shines through in this exhibition, which celebrates her insight and attention to those details that make everyday life special. This exhibition helps us to understand quite how her influence inspired William Wordsworth’s poetry and also to see that this extraordinary woman deserves recognition in her own right. Wordsworth Museum, Grasmere. Tickets include a guided tour of Dove Cottage and family activities in the school holidays Adult £4.50 – £7.50, family £17.20, under 6s free http://www.wordsworth.org.uk Twitter @wordsworthtrust This exhibition closes 5.30pm (4.30 from Nov 1-Jan 5, closed 24-26 Dec and closed Tuesdays in Dec))

Then on the 24th, we are heading off for the day to a One Man and  His Dog sheepdog trial.   This I am looking forward to most of all, the last one I went to had a great outdoor clothing stall.  Really want to treat myself to some cosy jumpers~!

will be updating these events, and re-blogging my foody page  when I next get access to some Broadband service.  thanks guys!

how many of us have done this – please let me be in the majority!

back on a full time carer job, this time im in cumbria,  so a great adaptation to my foody writing, there is such a wealth of good food up here, especially of the dairy variety.  cant say too much, as Im writing an article for a magazine – cant give away too many details.   Wont be under the name you know, but under my Pen name.  It will be about cheese though so check your sunday papers in a few weeks time!  the them we are working on is Autumnal.  So its all berries crackers and cheesy niblets!

im sure after all my emotional trauma I am being rewarded.  Im so busy I just cant stop spinning!    hence the style of todays blog,

in a few days we are off to italy,  so plenty of food there for us.  then back for end of september.

life today is a happy life!

As with many mornings at my coffee break of late, i ponder what changes i will achieve today.

Todays change is a simple one, the layout of my blog, so please bear with me while I find one I feel comfortable with!  Im still not 100% on using wordpress, I had just got used to my previous blog site, so am still at the learning stage with ‘staging my scene’.  Thanks to my ‘e-friends’ for the valuable emails of support, and the messages received through this outlet.

You are true helpers

wonderful idea

Project Light to Life

I first learned of this idea on a “Kind Acts” suggestion page on Google. Afterward, I experienced the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon — when you hear of something once and afterward, it seems as if you keep hearing about it — when multiple readers told me they already did or want to follow through with this idea.

As an English major, who absolutely loves to read and considers spending hours in “Barnes & Noble” to be heaven, I found the idea of leaving a nice note in a book for a stranger to find ideal.

I’d been putting this one off for a bit because I didn’t know what to say in the note or what book I would leave it in. Then the other day, I decided to just go for it; one of my all-time favorite books is “Wuthering Heights,” so I figured I would personalize the note toward that…

Anonymity (you have no idea how much that hurt my brain to remember how to spell that!)

Anonymity, that is why,  I think.

I have had a rough year, and have felt abandonded by my friends, and hurt by some family, (not all but just one is hurtful enough)  so I have turned my trust into my friends I have met through my online blog, and through my work.

These people only the me who is NOW, not the me who is PAST.  I think this is the very reason for the deep trust that is easy to find with them.

I can be completely honest and never feel judged, I can ask for help and get honest opinions.  No one needs to Lie to me because they dont need to.

Its so nice to switch on my gmail, and see a new message from someone, unknown personally, but known virtually,  the message being of total and honest support and pure care and happiness for my wellbeing.  Theres no hidden adgenda, no wanting a favour in return, just a ‘take care and be happy’ from a stranger.

I have concluded, that in affairs of the heart – anonymity can bring you your greatest of friends.

Italian Village

Italian Village (Photo credit: Thomas Hawk)

Ok,  so I rambled on about my miserable existence in the last few blogs,  and after slapping my own face, kicking my own butt,  I’ve told myself off and got myself a life!

I’m still feeling low, but happier,  still have a blank page in my journal for poetry, and a waste bin full of kindling and non-rhyming words!

Work is still good,  am still splitting my time between my foody work, and my ‘companion carer’ job.  Both of these, allow me a freedom to sort my self out, as Im away from the old home life, trials and tribulations.

There are still arguments going on in the background,  but, for now, I’ve switched off from them.

I will be travelling Europe very soon,  a slight delay to the timetable, as my employer had some small health issues, and it was better to get them sorted here, then in some Italian Village miles from anywhere!  But she is up and about now and giving instructions in Italian!  (I have acquired a phrase book!)

Even though I will be working, I will have a lot of time off, as there are 3 of us accompanying her,  We’ve been instructed to make the most of European Culture and visit as many galleries and museums as possible.  Really looking forward to it.  The trip has been cut short some what, and we are no longer going to France,  the illness has pushed our visit too far out of the summer months.

overcoming writer’s block – crumpled paper on wooden floor – crushed paper (Photo credit: photosteve101)

Am really struggling to write down my thoughts.  I think I have writers block!

For someone who made money from writing and had an obsession with daily diary writing, this is a new and horrible concept.  My friend thinks I have over strained my mind with too much pondering.

Maybe she is right. Too much time on my own in a new ‘home’ which is not really mine, but my employers.  Maybe the fact this is a temporary home is sub conciously stopping me from settling down to share my thoughts, maybe I need my own shell to hide in first?

Or do I just need a big kick up my butt!
