well after working abroad, and loosing my laptop in the states,  ive been quiet.   but I have kept a hand written journal.  Im back now for a few weeks, and have access to a computer in my breaks,  so hope to get back on the blog bus!

have lots of things to write about people I met and food I sampled.

great to be back

2 months in New York!!

Sorry I haven’t been online for so long,   I damaged my laptop, and have only just got around to replacing it.  Plus Ive been busy getting back into my old routine,  all be it as a singleton.  So Ive had lots of jobs on the go.

Great news is for me that Ive got a chance to work in New York for 2 months, in an Editorial.  Its a foody one, so I will be in my element.  Its for a new magazine, so Im not allowed to mention names yet,  as the two months will be spent reasearching, writing and blogging articles,  finding restaurants, finding new chefs and restaurants and even street food!

One of the things im really looking forward to is Home Cooking part,  where I get to go with out to meet people in their own homes who have got great family history with food and great skills.  Again cant say too much, but hopefully this will take off and we can go global!

Will be back to add more later, but I just had to burst and write this, as I cant tell anyone, so this is the best alternative!

stuck in the motion

Im stuck in the motion – are rather no motion of getting anything done.  One of my rare days off so trying to catch up on all my emails blogs etc,  however the rain is pouring down and internet connection is playing up.

am currently in Hertforshire in a fantastic Victorian ‘cottage’  which is actually a mansion compared to my house.  Ive found an amazing antique bookshop in the local village – and Ive banned myself from it!  when your a mobile worker its not good to stock up with heavy tomes unless you have the carrying facilities!

Still looking for inspiration for my blogging,  I have lots of hand written notes on the tour of Europe we did last year, and the River Cruise which really was amazing!  (and it was work so I got paid!!!)

What Im asking for fellow bloggers is this,  can you kick my butt into action and offer words of advice on how to get rid of a white screen and fill it with text!

The Loneliness Generation

This is just how I feel right now

Well its been a long time since my last visit to wordpress and a lot has gone on since my last blog, Ive had a good few months travelling Europe as a companion, and started life as a single person, feeling quite liberated after a strange few months, (for which the reason became apparent during divorce meetings – another person was involved).

My Hubby, (soon to be ex) and I are now even better friends and its a shame that this has happened, but we had grown apart, he met someone else, they have now split up but she was the catalyst and a conniving one at that.  Will blog more about this at another time, but she was a former friend of mine who had taken an insane dislike to me and decided in her own spiteful frame of mind to seduce my husband.  We had hit a weak point in our marriage due to both of us working and living apart from each other, so he was prime for the taking as he said.

Since my trip away, we have both communicated by email, which has helped immensely. We’ve found it therapeutic, and discovered that although no longer in love with each other, we do love and care for each other deeply. This Woman who interfered caused me more rage and anger at her vile treatment to my husband once she had separated us, than she caused by making us separate!

But that’s another blog for another day.

I’m very happy in myself, I’m still working on occasion as a Caring Companion to 3 ladies, all of whom relay fascinating tales of their younger pre and post war days as daring damsels being chased by GI’s or Debutantes making their way into Society, how the rich lived in by gone days of Glamour!

This is just a short blog that I’m posting, as I’ve lots to catch up on.  I’ve got to get back on track with the Foody writing, Now my heads cleared I should soon be thinking of ways to diet from all my sampling of good foods!

Bye for now friends

Ok so i admit, i need to go back to school, or the very least a night class.  My ability to conjure up word spells into a sympathetic portrayal of my emotions, just isnt working!

I used to be really good and won some competitions, whats the reason for abismal attempt to wordsmith!

Am I too sad, was I too happy?  Even blogging seems a chore and it was once my playtime.  Maybe I need a Winter – some hibernation times, and awake armed with a box of pens and reams of paper!

help me !!!!

Discovering Vintage!

Catalunya National Museum of Art (MNAC), in Ba...

Ok, so planning my things to do in Italy, when we go.  As there are a few of us working together this means we have the chance to spend our time Shopping.!  Not for me the modern day shopping,  Im talking about hunting down vintage gems! (as in clothes, hats boots and quirky bits!)  I know this is a long shot, do they do Vintage in parts of Italy they way they do here?

We are also going to Spain as and added few weeks, (My employer is taking her Niece there for her 21st birthday and first “European Shopping Tour”  !)

So we are hitting the biggies apparently  We are arriving in Barcelona, then onto Valencia Cordoba Madrid Seville, Ending in Gibraltar.  (I think thats the correct route, not good on my maps !)

I know nothing or no-one in Spain,  I have been to Gibralter as a child, But we mostly lived in Portugal.  These are all going to be ‘pit-stops’  of a few days, and while my employer will be spending time with family, we get to visit the sites, (have been given orders to expand our minds!)
